Department of Chemistry, IIT Hyderabad: The department started functioning from the very first day of the inception of IIT Hyderabad in 2008. Driven by a vision to deliver world-class education aiming research and development, the department offers a 4-year B.Tech. in Industrial Chemistry and a 2-year M.Sc. in Chemistry program. Supported by state-of-the-art research laboratories, the department fosters a vibrant ecosystem for its extensive community of Ph.D. scholars and researchers. The faculty spearhead breakthroughs across organic, inorganic, physical, and computational chemistry, driving innovation in various futuristic sectors.

Connectivity : By Air: From Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGI), Hyderabad, one can hire a taxi, Ola, or Uber to reach the IIT Hyderabad campus at Kandi, Sangareddy. The travelling time is approximately 1 hour for a distance of about 65 km from the airport to the campus.

By Train: The nearest railway station is Lingampalli, located about 30 km from the campus. One can take a bus from Patancheru (20 km) to reach the IIT Hyderabad campus.
